Wonning Melon Farms

The Wonning Melon Farm is located in the rich agricultural area of Vincennes, Indiana,
an area known for its abundantly fertile and sandy soils. It’s these perfect growing
conditions that make the Vincennes area famous for its melon production and
no one grows better watermelons and cantaloupes in the area than Wonning Melons
Farms. The rich history of the 500 acre farm started in the early sixties when Robert
Wonning established the farm. Now, nearly 50 years later, the Wonning Melon Farm
celebrates three generations of family leadership.

Brad, Diane, Jeff, and Alan Wonning all carry on the tradition of producing the best
produce available. Their melon production season runs from mid-June to the end of
September, with a large push for watermelon production during and immediately
after July 4th. When speaking to any member of the family, you get a strong sense of
pride and passion. Hard work and passion truly goes into every planting, every
harvest, and every smile from very loyal customers.
